Machine Washable: Thanks to the considerate design of this double electric blanket with the detachable controller, it can be machine washed at 40ºC to keep the electrical blanket fresh. Modern electric blankets are designed with safety systems such as auto shut-off after a set period of use, which means you don’t have to worry about fire hazards if you leave it unattended. The best electric blankets let you set different temperatures for your upper and lower body (since feet tend to get colder). We also looked at whether the blankets were machine washable (this is important if you have a pet) and if they had a guarantee. We felt toasty under this blanket and liked that there were so many heat options so we could be like Goldilocks and find the temperature that was just right.

You do have to sit close to a plug socket, though, as it requires being plugged in while in use, but there are three heat settings, and we found it warmed up in around five minutes. I do still think the blanket would benefit from elasticated straps for extra wriggly sleepers, though. The hottest setting was scalding; the lowest enough to just remove the sharp frosty feeling on entering a bed on a cold winter night. One side of the bed could be heated up for our tester who prefers toastier temperatures, while the tester who prefers a cooler setting could keep their side on low or even turn off the heat altogether.metres, the short-ish power cord means you’ll have to find your cosy spot fairly near to a plug socket.

It has the softness and inviting feeling of fur, but it is made from durable, machine-washable 100% polyester. There were nine settings for feet and body, ranging from boiling-hot nine to barely noticeable one; four or five was optimal for me. I liked the feature that adds extra heat to the area around your feet: in all honesty, I found in general keeping my feet snug and warm quite nice, whereas too much heat on my body made me feel stuffy and affected my sleep. Year Warranty: We include a 24 month warranty on all of our Cozytek heated blankets attesting to the quality and durability of the item as well as providing you with peace of mind. Machine Washable: Thanks to the considerate design of this king size electric blanket with the detachable controller, it can be machine washed at 40ºC to keep the electrical blanket fresh.Do not redistribute any products before they have arrived with you as inventory may vary and/or items might need repairs. Dr Stanley says switching on an electric blanket around half an hour before bed should make it perfectly cosy to get into, letting you drift to sleep naturally, but you should set it to turn off some time after you nod off. If you want to keep warm in bed without shelling out for an electric blanket, a cheaper option is a hot water bottle. The heat was mainly focused in a few patches on the blanket, rather than throughout, but these patches are placed at the points where you’re going to be in contact with the pad. This polyester heated sheet features a plush, luxury soft finish and three heat settings that can heat up to 50ºC, ensuring you get the perfect temperature for a good night’s sleep.

The controls are easy to use, with six heat settings – including a fast-heat setting – and three options for the auto shut off duration. Suffice to say it gets pretty cold in winter, never more so than during our recent arctic blast which saw temperatures drop below -5C. This velvety, soft-as-a-baby-bunny throw comes in a gorgeous inky navy that looks super high-end – we love the herringbone stitching.

The wärmer electric heated throw has an LED detachable controller with 9 heat settings allowing you to control to your desired comfort temperature. It didn’t have an elastic skirt like some of the more expensive varieties, but of the strapped electric blankets this was the easiest to attach.

The blanket is made from a mixture of cotton and polyester which is soft and naturally temperature regulating, so I don’t feel the need to remove it on the odd climate crisis-fuelled hot winter night. Your blanket will come with a plug (or two if it’s dual-control), which usually extends to around a metre or so. The slumberdown elegantly warm luxury heated throw has a luxuriously super soft faux mink fleece, to help take the chill away and keep you feeling cosy and warm whenever you need it. You could of course use it to heat up your bed, but it would move around as you toss and turn, since it doesn’t have attachment straps.

We loved this underblanket not just for the warmth factor, but also because you couldn’t feel the wires at all under the sherpa fabric.
