Now I have a Roland TD-11KV, but my dad uses it more than I do, he was hating the look of it at first but when he hit the snare the first time he was on there for at least 3 hours straight LOL. There's two additional inputs on the back and I was thinking that a separate cymbal pad for hi hat to the left and an extra pedal would make it feel a lot more "complete" and useable as an actual instrument. After screwing down the cover, the foamcore added enough pressure to the element that it contacted perfectly and registered nearly exactly as well as the yellow cymbal.

It was made to be sold separately, but the company making the ion kits liked them so much, they decided to include them with their kid.A bit of adjustment on the springy bit and a slightly thinner chunk of foamcore and we're fully rocking now. I was using one of the original ones which didn't have any velocity sensitivity on it; I understand that the newer ones have a basic velocity sensor but they don't seem to be overly sensitive. If you've read this morning's Guitar Hero World Tour review, then you already know how much we like the new RedOctane drums - but with the game now on sale across the pond, a few early adopters are reporting problems. A lever built-into the base of the kit allows users to extend the cymbals to a less-than-preferred clearance above the drum pads. Hitting the kick drum swell is just like the normal swells; keep the swell going by repeatedly hitting the corresponding drum.

I submit that using tape instead of the sharp bends would be step one, better assembly of the elements and harnesses being step two.If you are looking for a good drum-kit for the 360 then grab this one, just be prepared to spend a bit of time getting used to how to hit them for Rock Band. I mounted another bit of foamcoare to the apex of the spring, added a spot of tape to prevent shorts across the spring, and mounted the assembly below the piezo element. I could simultaneously trigger all of those sounds on the Guitar Hero drums set and my standard set up, however I realized that the MIDI notes coming from the Guitar Hero drums are hardwired and not changeable.
